(Jeremiah 18:1-6 KJV) The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. Then I went down to the potter’s house, and behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made from clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, …as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.
BASED ON SCRIPTURE, THE EMPHASIS AT THE POTTER’S HOUSE IS ON:
1. His Word – “Go down to the potter’s house, and there I will give you my message.” (Jer 18:2 NIV)
2. His Work – “So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel.” (Jer 18:3 NIV)
3. His Wheel – “But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands…” (Jer 18:4 NIV)
4. His Workmanship – “…so the potter formed it into another pot…” (Jer 18:4 NIV)
5. His Will – “…shaping it as seemed best to him.” (Jer 18:4 NIV)
